Long, tall and elegant, Varda is very like her dam, SG Whey-to-Go Valinor, but with more body capacity at similar ages.  She carries that wide flat rump that is typical of the Jewel line as well as those strong feet and legs.  She is a powerful doe – very athletic – with excellent dairy strength.  We love the front end on this very balanced doe.  Clearly the judges agreed, as they placed her first in her class and RGCH Jr. doe at her first show.  She was also awarded NSBA Junior All American Doe. 

Varda had a very tough kidding last year with quads.  We dried her up shortly thereafter to  allow her to recover her strength, but she came back into milk on her own and insisted on joining her herd mates in the milk parlor.   Makes for some odd milk numbers but considering we expected no lactation this year, she sure contributed!
